Rising above the Bay of Palma, La Seu is the Gothic cathedral that defines the city's skyline. Its warm stone, remarkable rose window and position beside the former royal palace make it one of Mallorca's essential cultural stops.

01

The façade and Parc de la Mar

Begin in Parc de la Mar beneath the sea-facing walls. From here, the cathedral's towers, buttresses and Gothic windows form a dramatic skyline above the water. It is a beautiful viewpoint for photographs before heading into the old town.

02

Highlights inside the cathedral

Take time to appreciate the soaring Gothic space, the coloured light of the stained glass and the famous rose window. Side chapels reveal different layers of the island's artistic and religious history. Check official visitor information if you plan to visit the terraces.

The Royal Palace of La Almudaina, traditional courtyards and narrow streets towards Passeig del Born are nearby. Combine the cathedral with a relaxed lunch and a walk along Palma's waterfront.

04

Getting here from Es Turó de França

Drive from S’Horta towards Palma and use a public car park, such as those near Parc de la Mar. Continue on foot and check current visiting hours, ticket requirements and driving directions before leaving the finca.
